Situated along the foreshore reserve at Cape Paterson, our park is planned out to receive advantage of the spontaneous setting and proximity to the beaches. We have a expansive variety of van or tent sites and self contained en suite cabins, set among the tea tree and only a short stroll from the beaches, rock pools and dunes. The beaches are patrolled throughout the summer and on public holidays in the warmer months. The town of Cape Paterson itself is a tranquility place, largely populated by holiday homes. Much later, when coal mining began at Wonthaggi, the miners were speedy to recognize the fishing and recreational possibilities of the nearby coastline. Some of the miners built shacks and boathouses on the foreshore, and supplemented their income by selling locally caught fish and crayfish. The mine closed in the late 1960s but has remained a local attraction, with underground mine tours held daily. In particular, the drive from Cape to nearby Inverloch is one of the maximum spectacular roads in Victoria and one of the areas best kept secrets. We’re sure that you’ll find sufficient to do in the area if you get fatigued of relaxing on the pretty Cape Paterson beaches. Our ocean view villas have superb views of the beach lower and across the ocean towards Cape Liptrap. From the comfort of the large covered deck or the big begin plan living area, watch the waves smashing on the rocks below, the sunrise in the hasty morning or even a passing storm. The villas are healthy fitted out with reverse cycle air conditioning, dishwasher, oven and cook top, washing machine, microwave and large refrigerator. The main bedroom has a queen size bed with an en suite bathroom, and the second bedroom has a double bed and a set of bunks. Adjacent to this bedroom are two rooms with another shower and toilet in each. The covered deck has a important outdoor table and chairs for you to relax and appreciate the view and your own hooded barbecue. Because camping isn’t for everyone, we have a number of modern, fully self contained cabins for hire. Each cabin has two bedrooms with sleeping accommodation for up to six people. The cabins also have a fully equipped kitchen with gas hot plates, a microwave oven and refrigerator. There are ceiling fans in the master bedrooms and a ceiling fan and heater in the living area. All cabins villa units are fully self contained with bathrooms and cooking facilities. No further discounts are given when using a gift voucher.
